Nicole McIntosh is an experienced health professional and emerging researcher whose work focuses on improving clinical practice and patient outcomes through evidence based inquiry. Currently undertaking her PhD at Western Sydney University, her research explores medicinal cannabis regulation in Australia, prescribing competencies, and the patient experience of accessing emerging therapies.

With 30 years of experience as a registered nurse, Nicole has developed strong clinical expertise across critical care, orthopedics, and high dependency nursing. She has held significant leadership roles throughout her career, guiding multidisciplinary teams and supporting the development of safe and effective clinical practice.

In the tertiary education sector, Nicole has served as Director of Sessional Casual Staff, providing strategic oversight and workforce support. She is currently the Program Lead for Work Integrated Learning, overseeing placement quality and strengthening partnerships between the university and healthcare providers.
