Nick Pincombe

Nick Pincombe is a 12-year Army veteran who served as an Infantry Officer across multiple roles including regimental, training, instructional and headquarters positions within the Royal Australian Regiment and Special Operations Command and operational experience in Afghanistan. Due to his service, Nick has sustained multiple injuries resulting in surgeries and experiencing multiple modalities for condition and symptom management, including cannabis, esketamine and EMDR therapies. 

Post-service Nick completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy and has recently completed the Pharmacist Prescriber qualification. He focuses on Veteran and First responder health and provides a free service for veterans for medications review and treatment pathway options, including approvals processes. Nick has extensive experience with esketamine use for service-related conditions and has presented at the RANZCP conference in 2023 on the veteran experience with conventional and psychedelic therapies. Nick uses his position as a community pharmacist to act as a direct conduit for provision of objective advice and guidance for his community, particularly regarding veteran and first responder health, suicide prevention, and support for the Veteran and First Responder communities. Due to his efforts within his community, Nick was one of the five national finalists for the TerryWhite Pharmacist of the Year award in 2024. Nick's key focus is to educate on effective pathways for condition and symptom management and advocates for a Veteran-led approach for better individual ownership and improving quality of life.
