Kate Chisholm

Curious Collective AU

Kate Chisholm served 24 years in the Australian Defence Force across full-time and part-time service, including overseas operations and training command postings. Following transition, she was awarded the Prince of Wales Award, using this opportunity to extensively deep dive into coaching within the service-connected community.

Kate is now founder of Curious Collective AU and host of The Curious Collective podcast, specialising in nervous system education and somatic approaches for veterans, first responders, and their families. Through her COMPASS Intentional Living Program and as a certified Resilience Shield Mentor, Kate reframes protective responses like hypervigilance and threat detection as intelligent adaptations rather than dysfunction. Her work centres on helping service-connected individuals understand that their nervous systems aren't broken—they require conscious redirection for civilian contexts, emphasising body wisdom and trauma-informed approaches that work with the nervous system's intelligence rather than against it.
