CEO, Byron Bay Bio

Jeff Lang is the CEO and Executive Director of Byron Bay Bio and an Australian inventor and technology commercialisation specialist with more than 35 years of experience bringing scientific innovation to market across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, aerospace and defence.

He is the Founder of Titomic Limited, which he built into a $400 million ASX-listed company and was awarded the best performing ASX small-cap in the 2017–18 financial year. He recently founded Vortair Pty Ltd the winner of the 2024 AIFST Innovation Award for its breakthrough food and plant processing technology that converts biomass and food waste into nutrient-dense ingredients supporting the growing field of food as medicine.

Jeff has worked closely with organisations including CSIRO, ANSTO, universities, global manufacturers and regulators to guide technologies through validation, certification and clinical-grade consistency pathways. At Byron Bay Bio, he now focuses on medicinal cannabis standardisation, plant genomics and diagnostic innovation, including deployment of a chemotypic analysis device designed to support prescribing accuracy and therapeutic reliability.

His work centres on strengthening the connection between scientific discovery, regulatory confidence and clinical application to help deliver safer, more consistent and evidence-aligned therapies for the future of medicine. With a focus to provide clinicians greater confidence that emerging therapies can be delivered with consistency, safety and measurable benefit for patients.
