Matt Norris is a proud Wiradjuri man with over a decade of experience in the community services sector, dedicated to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth and families. Born and raised in Mount Druitt, Matt’s deep-rooted connection to his heritage and community drives his ongoing commitment to improving the lives of young people and their families.
Throughout his career, Matt has been a passionate advocate for the rights and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, working across various roles to ensure cultural respect, empowerment, and opportunity. His expertise spans program development, service delivery, and community engagement, with a strong focus on promoting positive change and promoting social equity.
Currently, Matt serves as the Aboriginal Services Manager for Marist180, where he leads multiple programs targeted at supporting young people and families, particularly in the areas of youth development, education, youth justice and cultural connection. His leadership is grounded in his personal values of family, community, and respect, and he remains committed to bridging gaps and advocating for the needs for his community.
