Dr Jen Cleary
Dr Jen Cleary is the CEO of Centacare Catholic Country SA, in the Port Pirie diocese. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Social Impact at Flinders University. As a human geographer, her research interests lie in social services policy and practice with a particular interest in how ‘place’ impacts service development and delivery; and the ways in which community narratives influence community wellbeing. In 2023, Jen undertook a short sabbatical from her CEO role, to contribute as a co-investigator in the ‘Beyond Bars’ research project, commissioned by Centacare Catholic Country SA. The research was especially important in the Port Pirie diocese, given that three of the five regional prisons in SA are located in the diocese.
