Alison Rahill is a leading specialist in anti-modern slavery activism in Australia and serves as the Executive Officer of the Anti-Slavery Task Force at the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney. In this role, she works to advance the Archdiocese’s vision to combat modern slavery by developing ethical purchasing and investment policies to slavery-proof supply chains. Alison also manages the Shop for Good program, which promotes ethical consumer choices to help #endslavery.
Before joining the Archdiocese, Alison was the National Network Coordinator for the Salvation Army’s Freedom Partnership to End Modern Slavery, where she played a key role in advocating for Australia’s landmark Modern Slavery legislation. She has extensive experience identifying and assisting victims of modern slavery, including forced labour, debt bondage, and human trafficking.
Alison has a diverse background, having worked as a researcher, producer, and journalist before becoming a community organiser with trade unions. She is also a long-standing member of the Executive Committee of the Evatt Foundation, supporting the values of the labour movement.
Through her work, Alison collaborates with businesses, faith leaders, and community organizations to build outreach capacity and support for those affected by modern slavery, ensuring a more inclusive and just society.
