Antony Shaw

Antony Shaw is Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Australia and New Zealand. He also serves HSBC Australia 's Board as an Executive Director and is a member of HSBC Asia's Executive Committee. He is a standing member on the Council of the Australian Banking Association and is the Chair of the Business Council of Australia's Global Engagement Committee. 

Antony joined HSBC in Hong Kong in 2003 where he remained and worked across multiple global roles within its investment bank including leading institutional coverage for Asia Pacific and the Middle East, leading the Global Markets' global service proposition for both retail and private banking clients, ESG and for emerging markets.

Prior to HSBC, Antony worked within investment banks including Macquarie Bank and Deutsche Bank in Sydney and London before relocating to Asia .

Beyond HSBC, Antony holds advisory positions across several institutions and not for profit organisations including Business Council of Australia 's economic committee. 

His passion for driving equality extends to his participation in several inclusivity advocacy roles. He is an Ambassador for the Australia Indigenous Education which seeks to increase the tertiary and career opportunities for indigenous Australian students. Antony is an ally to the LGBTQ community through his role as an ambassador for Out Leadership.

He is a co-Founder of the AW Foundation which seeks to open education opportunities to young people across South East Asia with a specific focus on Laos, Cambodia and Thailand .To date, the Foundation has educated circa 5000 students across the 13 schools they have opened.
